The Poor Farm is an artist retreat and exhibition space located across the street from RiverRun Lodge in Manawa, WI. This year, the Poor Farm is going to feature internationally renowned artist Gretchen Bender in many of their galleries. Bender’s video art will be surveyed throughout the year at the Poor Farm and then is traveling to both The Kitchen, NYC and The Mint Museum, NC for display afterwards.

In addition to Bender’s internationally acclaimed works, the Poor Farm will also be hosting the facility’s “Annual Great Poor Farm Experiment” which is now in its 4th season. The Poor Farm will also be participating in the NADA /Art Cologne, which is the artworld’s oldest contemporary artfair being held April 18 to April 22, 2012.

Jack sits on the Poor Farm’s board of directors, and the entire Fischer Group encourages Waupaca County visitors or RiverRun Lodge guests to check out their programming in the near future.
