Jack. L. Fischer, AIA has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture and Interior Design. He is a licensed architect in Wisconsin and a certified interior designer in Minnesota. After serving over 28 years with his own companies and as a partner/shareholder in a national engineering/ architectural planning practice, he brings a wealth of national and international experience and over 500 commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects to the family companies as president. Jack has served on numerous boards and community activities. Briefly, these include past board memberships with Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, Fischer-Schutte Inc., Network Health Plan, St. Elizabeth Hospital Community Foundation, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Foundation Board, US Bank Board and the Wisconsin International Trade Council Board at the discretion of Governor James Doyle. He actively serves on the boards of Westphal & Company Inc., Point of Beginning, Ozone Capital, the Ozone Company, Third Coast Consulting LLC, and J.L. Fischer Inc. Jack served as the State of Wisconsin Secretary of Commerce in 2007. In addition, Jack is a member of Godfrey and Kahn’s Leadership Roundtable committee and numerous other local business and political groups. Jack received the young distinguished alumni award from UW-Milwaukee in May of 1987, the People’s Choice Award for the Plexus facility from the Wisconsin Society of Architects in 1987, and the 1993 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Jack L. Fischer, AIA is President of The Fischer Group Companies (TFG), Fischer Investors Inc. and a partner/owner of remaining subsidiary companies. The Fischer Companies focuses on the development of retail strip malls and residential housing alternatives. TFG expertise includes architecture, development, and construction management in a total ownership approach. Furthermore, he is past President of JP-Marathon Inc and a past partner shareholder of Marathon Engineers/Architects LLC. Jack sold his interest to the Finnish Jaakko Poyry Group Global Companies and retired from Marathon after 23 years. He is currently a partner in Third Coast Consulting LLC and a principal at Engberg Anderson.

Mr. Fischer’s past experience as an owner/officer of Marathon included a 200-acre master plan campus for Motorola in Jaguaruina , Brazil . In addition, world class award winning R&D and industrial manufacturing facilities for Plexus (Wisconsin); specialized R&D facilities for 3M Company (Kentucky), Rayonier (Georgia), American National Can (Wisconsin), and Miller Electric Manufacturing (Wisconsin).

Mr. Fischer has traveled extensively internationally due to his past affiliation with JP/Marathon group global businesses. Project activities and travel over the past 25 years as an executive have included all of North America, Mexico , El Salvador , Venezuela , Brazil , Western Europe , Poland , Finland , Sweden , Russia , Norway , South Africa , Zimbabwe , and the majority of the Caribbean Islands.

Mr. Fischer received his B.S. (1976) and M.A. (1978) in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee . He has also taken courses at UW, Harvard, and UWM in construction management, design, development, architecture, engineering, and real estate law. He received the 1993 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Distinguished Alumnus Award during Commencement 1993 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin.

During his career, Mr. Fischer has been involved with the design, construction and development of over 350 Class A facilities including commercial, residential, retail and industrial types. He has also received a number of awards and honors including the Young Distinguished Alumni Award (Commencement May 16, 1987) University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Peoples Choice Award, Plexus Building , Wisconsin Society of Architects.

Mr. Fischer is a Registered Architect in the State of Wisconsin and also registered in the State of Minnesota . His professional and community affiliation include Wisconsin Governor Doyle’s Wisconsin International Trade Board (WITCO), Godfrey & Kahn Leadership Roundtable member, Heckrodt Nature Center (Steering Committee Member), the Wisconsin Architects Foundation (Past Director, Secretary/Treasurer, and member of the Executive Committee for Campaign 300 (an architectural scholarship program); Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Past Board Member and Vice Chairman of Economic Development); Outagamie County Historical Society/Outagamie Museum (Past Director and Vice President); US Bank Board – Appleton Regional (Director); St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation (Past President and Director); Network Health System Inc. (Past Advisory Board Member); Fox Valley Symphony Association (Past Director); Network Health Plan Insurance Board (Past Director); and the American Cancer Society (Past Board Member).
